Birds are usually transported in plastic containers and crates, designed to facilitate loading at the chicken farm and suspension when they reach the slaughterhouse.

Birds are suspended from special hooks on the slaughtering line – for this purpose, crates and containers must be positioned and moved in such a way that operators can carry out suspension in the most ergonomic and efficient way possible.

As suspension is carried out in the so-called “dirty” zone, particular attention is paid to cleaning and sanitation of empty crates and containers to allow new deliveries of birds to arrive in perfect hygienic conditions.
